Now 70 years old, André (Paul Ford, King Lear, Long Day's Journey into Night) was once a tap dancer. He lives with his daughter Anne (Merritt Glover, Three Sisters) and her husband Pierre (Mark Hisler, Jerusalem). Or was he an engineer whose daughter Anne (Jen Stephenson, Terra Nova, Enchanted April) lives in London with her new lover, Pierre (Blake Magnuson, Hir, Long Day's Journey Into Night)? The thing is, he is still wearing his pajamas, and he can’t find his watch. He is starting to wonder if he’s losing control.
Director Kitts calls the play "a mystery wrapped in a high-stakes hero's journey." She says, "The audience will see things (on stage) they haven't seen before. Hopefully they will become involved immediately, experientially, sensually and emotionally."
Some viewers believe the play to be the experience of a person with Alzheimer's, but the playwright says he wrote it "as if in a dream." There will be a benefit performance for the Alzheimer's Association
on January 20, 2018. All tickets will be $25 and there will be a reception following the performance.
